A publishing tool for the Junk Drawer History TV channels

CapiBar Studio makes short educational videos and publishes them to YouTube channels owned by its operator. It also reads how those videos perform, so we can tell which ideas are worth making more of.

What it does

• Uploads videos to our own channels with their title, description, tags and settings, either right away or scheduled for a set time. Every upload is marked as containing altered or synthetic content and as not made for kids.
• Reads statistics for our own videos, such as views, average view percentage and likes, from the YouTube Data API and the YouTube Analytics API.
• Counts audience votes left in public comments under our own videos, where viewers choose the topic of the next video. Only the vote totals are kept.

Who can use it

CapiBar Studio is not a public service. There are no sign-ups and no other users. It runs on the operator's systems and signs in only to the Junk Drawer History TV channels, which the operator owns: Thimblewise and Pick a Backstory.
